I want my vacations!!!!!

Almost everybody in my Lab. as gone in vacations and I feel just like a poor damned soul binded to this books for eternity. Does anyone understand my feelings??
This week's challenge is to do curve fit that involves about 19 free parameters. 19!!! This thing is more unstable than a drunk guy in a spring break.
I delivered a paper to my adviser a few weeks ago and he was supposed to read it and give me some feedback. I'm still waiting for is opinion... Ok, the paper has no breakthrough but the results are interesting (to someone I hope) and deserve to be at least submitted to a magazine. At least the referee could say if it is a stupid or good idea. But nooooo, the paper is still in his drawer.
"Could you do a little more", he says. Yes I can, BUT WHAT??? Please advise me! That is part of the job of being an adviser, no?

Next week I'm going home, with or without the paper submitted.

Calculus in MHD - Oh my God, what a mess...

This time around I have been playing with MHD equations and I have to say, "WHO THE HECK CAME UP WITH THIS SHI*...". I'm no theoretician so I feel just like a blind cook trying to prepare an exquisite plate of "aut cuizine française" or something like that.
I have to figure out a way of passing beyond theses awful calculations in order to continue my research.

Money Money

Today is a gooooood day. After three years in a row, applying for a PhD Grant I finally got it.

Day 0

Easter has just finish, everybody is still in vacations (except me) and today I decided to speak.
This will be my diary in this voyage called "PhD in Astrophysics"...
